FSU football was able to get on the board first against Miami thanks to an unlikely play. With the Seminoles facing a 4th and goal from the 1-yard line, quarterback Jordan Travis was injured on a sack. Backup quarterback Luke Kromenhoek came into the game and was able to sneak the ball into the end zone for the touchdown.
The touchdown was Kromenhoek's first career touchdown and it gave FSU a 7-0 lead over Miami. The drive was set up by a 46-yard pass from Travis to wide receiver Johnny Wilson.
