The race is on to host the 2027 Women's Champions League final
Four stadiums in the running
The race is on to host the 2027 Women's Champions League final, with four stadiums in the running. Camp Nou in Barcelona, the National Stadium in Warsaw, St. Jakob-Park in Basel, and the Principality Stadium in Cardiff have all submitted bids to UEFA.
UEFA will announce the successful bid in 2024, following an evaluation process which will take into account factors such as stadium capacity, infrastructure, and transport links.
Barcelona the early favorite
Barcelona is the early favorite to host the final, given the Camp Nou's status as one of the most iconic stadiums in the world. The stadium has a capacity of over 99,000 and has hosted numerous major finals, including the 1992 Olympic Games and the 2011 UEFA Champions League final.
However, the other three stadiums are also strong contenders. The National Stadium in Warsaw is a modern, state-of-the-art facility which hosted the 2012 European Championship final. St. Jakob-Park in Basel is a compact and atmospheric stadium which has hosted numerous UEFA Champions League matches, including the 2016 final.
The Principality Stadium in Cardiff is a multi-purpose stadium which has hosted the UEFA Champions League final twice, in 2017 and 2022. The stadium has a capacity of over 74,000 and is located in the heart of Cardiff.
The decision will be made in 2024

The 2027 Women's Champions League final will be the first to be held under the new format, which will see the number of teams in the competition increase from 16 to 24.
