Florida State Powers Way Past Miami with 24-23 Win

QB Sneak Steals the Night, Leading to FSU Victory

The Florida State Seminoles beat the Miami Hurricanes 24-23 Saturday night in a game that came down to the final seconds. The Seminoles won on a quarterback sneak by Jordan Travis with just 1:46 remaining in the game. The sneak was a gutsy call by FSU head coach Mike Norvell, but it paid off.

Seminoles Rely on Defense and Ground Game to Secure Win

The Seminoles' defense was stout all night, holding Miami to just 23 points and forcing three turnovers. The Seminoles also dominated the time of possession, running the ball 50 times for 210 yards. Travis led the way with 90 rushing yards and two touchdowns.

The Hurricanes had a chance to tie the game in the final seconds, but their field goal attempt was blocked by Florida State's Fabien Lovett. The block sealed the win for the Seminoles and gave them their first victory over Miami since 2018.

"This is a huge win for our program," Norvell said. "Our guys showed a lot of heart and determination tonight. We're going to enjoy this one, but we know we have a lot of work to do."
