'A dream come true': Arlington father-and-son duo to run Marine Corps Marathon together
For the first time, an Arlington father and son will run the Marine Corps Marathon together. This is a dream come true for both of them.
John Kelly, 52, and his son, Jack, 22, have been training for the marathon for months. They have been running together for years, but this will be their first time running a marathon together.
Kelly said he is excited about running the marathon with his son. He said it is a dream come true for both of them.
"It's something we've always wanted to do together," Kelly said. "It's going to be a special day."
Jack said he is also excited about running the marathon with his father. He said it is a great way to bond with him.
"It's going to be a lot of fun," Jack said. "I'm looking forward to it."
The Marine Corps Marathon is one of the largest marathons in the world. It is held every year in Washington, D.C. The marathon is a challenging course, but Kelly and Jack are confident they can finish it.
