#21 Utah Volleyball Suffers 0-3 Loss to #9 Kansas
Utes Fall in Straight Sets at Horejsi Family Athletics Center
Kansas improves to 6-0 on the season, while Utah falls to 5-2.
The No. 21 Utah volleyball team suffered a 0-3 loss to No. 9 Kansas on Friday night at the Horejsi Family Athletics Center.
The Utes fell in straight sets (23-25, 22-25, 19-25) to the Jayhawks, who improved to 6-0 on the season. Utah fell to 5-2 with the loss.
Utah was led by Kenzie Koerber's 12 kills, while Dani Drews added 10 kills and Berkeley Oblad added nine kills.
Kansas was led by Jada Burse's 15 kills, while Caroline Bien and Ayah Elnady each added 10 kills.
The Utes hit just .172 in the match, while Kansas hit .333. Utah also had 12 service errors, compared to just three for Kansas.
The Jayhawks took control of the match early, winning the first set 25-23. Kansas then won the second set 25-22 and the third set 25-19 to complete the sweep.
The Utes will return to action on Sunday when they host Colorado at the Huntsman Center.
