Volleyball Match Versus No. 4 Louisville Picked Up by ESPN
Top-ranked Huskers To Face Cardinals on National TV
LINCOLN, Neb. – With less than a month to go until the season starts, Nebraska's volleyball schedule just got a major boost. ESPN picked up the Huskers' match against No. 4 Louisville on Friday, Sept. 2, at the Devaney Center. The match will air on ESPNU at 8 p.m. CT.
The Huskers and Cardinals are two of the top teams in the country. Nebraska is ranked No. 1 in the AVCA preseason poll, while Louisville is ranked No. 4. The match will be a rematch of last year's NCAA Tournament regional final, which Nebraska won in four sets.
Nebraska and Louisville have met 10 times in the past, with the Huskers holding a 7-3 advantage. The two teams last met in the 2021 NCAA Tournament regional final, which Nebraska won in four sets.
The match against Louisville is one of two home matches that will be televised on ESPN this season. The Huskers will also host No. 8 Minnesota on ESPNU on Sunday, Oct. 23.
The Huskers will open the season on Aug. 26 at the VERT Challenge in Lincoln. Nebraska will face Northern Iowa, Creighton and Colorado State in the tournament.
