Quotes, highlights, and analysis from Mario Cristobal's post-game press conference
Miami Hurricanes head coach Mario Cristobal met with the media following his team's 27-10 win over the Florida State Seminoles on Saturday night.
Cristobal opened his press conference by praising his team's effort and execution, particularly in the second half.
"I'm really proud of our guys," Cristobal said. "They played hard, they played together, and they played with a lot of heart. We made some mistakes in the first half, but we came out in the second half and played much better."
Cristobal was asked about quarterback Anthony Richardson, who threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns in the win.
"Anthony played a great game," Cristobal said. "He made some big throws, and he ran the ball well. He's a special player, and he's only going to get better."
Cristobal also talked about the team's defense, which held Florida State to just 10 points.
"Our defense played lights out," Cristobal said. "They made some big stops, and they forced some turnovers. We're really happy with the way they played."
Cristobal was asked about the team's goals for the rest of the season.
"Our goal is to win every game," Cristobal said. "We're taking it one game at a time, and we're focused on getting better every day."
The Hurricanes will host the Southern Miss Golden Eagles next Saturday at Hard Rock Stadium.
