UFC newcomer Magomed Gadzhiyasulov set to make second promotional appearance
Russian fighter to take on Josh Parisian at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall
The Dagestan native has impressed in his first two professional fights, winning both by first-round submission.
Magomed Gadzhiyasulov, a rising star in the UFC's heavyweight division, has been booked for his second fight in the promotion. The undefeated Russian will face Josh Parisian at UFC Fight Night: Blaydes vs. Aspinall on July 23.
Gadzhiyasulov made a successful UFC debut in December 2021, submitting Ben Sosoli in the first round. He followed that up with another first-round submission win over Bryan Barberena in March.
Parisian, meanwhile, is coming off a unanimous decision loss to Alan Baudot in his last outing. The American has a record of 14-4 and is known for his heavy hands and aggressive style.
The fight between Gadzhiyasulov and Parisian is expected to be a clash of styles. Gadzhiyasulov is a highly skilled grappler with a dangerous submission game, while Parisian is a powerful striker with knockout power.
Gadzhiyasulov is a rising star in the UFC's heavyweight division and is looking to make a statement in his second fight. A win over Parisian would move him up the rankings and put him in contention for a top-15 opponent.
