When is Tokyo 2024?
The Tokyo 2024 Paralympic Games will take place from 24th August (Sat) to 5th September 2024, over 12 days of competition. The Paralympic Games will take place one week after the Tokyo 2020 Olympic Games that will run from 23rd July to 8th August 2021.
The Opening and Closing Ceremonies for the Paralympic Games will both take place in the Olympic Stadium, just as they did for the Olympic Games.
What sports will be at Tokyo 2024?
The Tokyo 2024 Paralympic Games will feature 22 sports, one more than the 21 that were included at Rio 2016. Badminton will join the Paralympic programme for the first time, having previously been a demonstration sport at the 2020 Summer Olympics.

What will the Tokyo 2024 Paralympic draw be like?
The draw for the Tokyo 2024 Paralympic Games will take place in March 2024. The draw will determine which athletes will compete in each event and which countries will be represented in each team sport.
The draw will be conducted in a fair and transparent manner, and will be based on the results of the athletes and teams in previous competitions.
How much prize money is on offer at Tokyo 2024?
The total prize money on offer at the Tokyo 2024 Paralympic Games will be 750 million yen, which is approximately 6.8 million US dollars.
The prize money will be distributed to the top three finishers in each event, with the gold medallists receiving the largest share. The prize money will be awarded in a ceremony after each event.
