Texans to Honor Andre Johnson in Week

The Houston Texans will enshrine the team's first Hall of Famer during their game on October 30th when they host the Tennessee Titans. The Texans will induct former wide receiver Andre Johnson into the team's Ring of Honor.

Andre Johnson, a seven-time Pro Bowl selection and three-time All-Pro, played 12 seasons with the Texans from 2003-2014. He ranks first in franchise history in receptions (1,062), receiving yards (13,597), and receiving touchdowns (64).

Johnson finished his NFL career with 1,062 receptions for 14,185 yards and 70 touchdowns.

Johnson Excited About Honor

The 41-year-old Johnson has been a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame since 2021. He is grateful for the honor from the Texans.

"I'm thankful for the Houston Texans, the McNair family, and the city of Houston for giving me this tremendous honor. It's truly special to be the first player inducted into the Texans' Ring of Honor, and I'm excited to share this moment with my family, friends, and the fans," said Johnson.

Johnson even has a street named after him in Houston, "Andre Johnson Parkway."
