Tee Higgins injury update: "Real chance" Bengals wide receiver misses Eagles game
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Tee Higgins is questionable to play in Sunday's game against the Philadelphia Eagles with an ankle injury.
Higgins suffered the injury in the Bengals' 27-15 win over the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 11 and did not return to the game. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and Thursday and did not practice on Friday.
Bengals head coach Zac Taylor said Friday that Higgins is "day-to-day" and that there is a "real chance" he misses the game against the Eagles.
If Higgins is unable to play, it would be a big loss for the Bengals. Higgins is the team's leading receiver with 74 catches for 1,022 yards and seven touchdowns this season.
The Bengals are already without wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase, who is on injured reserve with a hip injury. If Higgins is also unable to play, it would leave the Bengals with Tyler Boyd and Trenton Irwin as their top two receivers.
The Eagles have one of the best pass defenses in the NFL, so the Bengals will need all the help they can get on offense if Higgins is unable to play.
