Szczesny: "If I were the coach, I wouldn't let myself play"
Juventus goalkeeper Wojciech Szczesny has admitted that he would not have started himself in the team's recent matches if he was the coach.
The Poland international has been in poor form for Juve this season, making a number of high-profile errors.
Speaking to Sky Sport Italia, Szczesny said: "I'm not happy with my performances. I know I can do better. If I were the coach, I wouldn't let myself play."
Szczesny's comments come after Juve's 2-0 defeat to AC Milan on Sunday. The Bianconeri have now lost four of their last five games in all competitions.
Szczesny's poor form has led to calls for him to be dropped from the team. However, Juve coach Massimiliano Allegri has so far kept faith in the 32-year-old.
It remains to be seen if Szczesny will start in Juve's next game against Maccabi Haifa in the Champions League on Wednesday.
Szczesny's comments are a sign of the pressure that is currently on him at Juve.
The Bianconeri are going through a difficult period and Szczesny is one of a number of players who have been criticized for their performances.
If Szczesny does not improve his form soon, he could find himself losing his place in the team to Mattia Perin.
