Sutton warns of Palace threat to Tottenham’s winning run ahead of weekend fixture

Former Spurs striker Sutton has warned that Tottenham Hotspur could face a tough test against Crystal Palace on Saturday.

Tottenham have won their last three Premier League games, but Sutton told BBC Sport that Palace are "a very dangerous team" that could cause Spurs problems at Selhurst Park.

The former England international said: "I think Palace are a very good side and I think they could cause Tottenham problems. They've got some good players, they're well-organized and they're playing with a lot of confidence at the moment.

Sutton added: "Tottenham have been in good form lately, but I think this will be a tough game for them. Palace are a good side and they'll be looking to make a statement against a top-six team. I think it could be a really close game."

Tottenham will be without a number of key players for the match against Palace, including Son Heung-min and Richarlison.

Son is out with a muscle injury, while Richarlison is suspended after being sent off in Tottenham's last game against Arsenal.

Sutton said the absences of Son and Richarlison could be a blow to Tottenham, but he believes Spurs still have enough quality to beat Palace.

He said: "It's not ideal to be without two of your best players, but Tottenham have got a good squad and I think they'll be able to cope. They've got players like Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevski and Ivan Perisic who can all hurt Palace.

Tottenham will be looking to continue their winning run against Palace, but Sutton has warned that it will not be easy. Palace are a good side and they will be looking to make a statement against a top-six team.
