Shedeur Sanders left Saturday's game against Air Force with an injury and did not return

ESPN's broadcast of the Colorado Buffaloes' game against the Air Force Falcons on Saturday provided an update on the status of quarterback Shedeur Sanders.

Sanders left the game in the first quarter after suffering a shoulder injury. He was replaced by backup quarterback J.T. Shrout.

Sanders is expected to miss multiple games

According to ESPN, Sanders is expected to miss multiple games due to the injury.

The Buffaloes are scheduled to play at Arizona on Saturday, Oct. 15, and then host Oregon State on Saturday, Oct. 22.

Shrout will start in Sanders' absence

In Sanders' absence, Shrout will start at quarterback for the Buffaloes.

Shrout has completed 17 of 25 passes for 208 yards and two touchdowns in two games this season.
