Matt Milano Agrees To Contract Extension With The Buffalo Bills
The Buffalo Bills and linebacker Matt Milano have agreed to terms on a four-year, $44 million contract extension, a source confirmed to ESPN's Adam Schefter on Wednesday. The deal includes $24 million guaranteed, per Schefter.
Milano, 28, was set to become an unrestricted free agent in March. He had a breakout season in 2022, recording a career-high 113 tackles, five interceptions, and two sacks.
Milano Has Been A Key Member Of The Bills Defense
Milano has been a key member of the Bills' defense since being drafted in the fifth round out of Boston College in 2017.
He has started 62 games in his career, and has recorded 455 tackles, 12 interceptions, and five sacks.
Milano's extension is a significant move for the Bills, who are looking to build on their success from the 2022 season.
The Bills finished the 2022 season with a 13-4 record, and won the AFC East for the third consecutive season.
They lost to the Cincinnati Bengals in the AFC Divisional Round.
Milano Is Excited To Be Back With The Bills
"I'm so excited to be back with the Bills," Milano said in a statement.
"This is where I want to be, and I'm grateful for the opportunity to continue playing for this team and this city.
"I'm looking forward to helping this team win a Super Bowl."
