Seahawks’ Tyrel Dodson Shares Insights on His Former Bills Teammates, McDermott, and Babich

Dodson Praises McDermott's Leadership, Babich's Attention to Detail

Former Buffalo Bills linebacker Tyrel Dodson recently shared his thoughts on his former head coach Sean McDermott and defensive coordinator Leslie Frazier. Dodson, who spent three seasons in Buffalo before joining the Seattle Seahawks in 2023, praised McDermott's leadership and Frazier's attention to detail. "Coach McDermott is a great leader," Dodson said. "He's tough, but he's also fair. He demands a lot from his players, but he also supports them. He's always there for his players, and he always has their best interests at heart." Dodson also had high praise for Frazier. "Coach Frazier is a great defensive mind," Dodson said. "He's always one step ahead of the offense. He knows what they're going to do before they do it. He's also a great teacher. He's able to take complex concepts and break them down in a way that his players can understand."

Dodson Recalls Fond Memories of His Time in Buffalo

Dodson said he has fond memories of his time in Buffalo. He said he enjoyed playing with his teammates and that he learned a lot from McDermott and Frazier. "I learned a lot about football in Buffalo," Dodson said. "I learned a lot about myself. I grew as a player and as a person. I'm grateful for the opportunity I had to play for the Bills." Dodson said he is excited for the opportunity to play for the Seahawks. He said he is looking forward to learning from coach Pete Carroll and defensive coordinator Clint Hurtt. "I'm excited to be a part of this team," Dodson said. "I think we have a chance to do something special this year."
