Ravens Injury Updates: 2 Starters Return to Practice; Humphrey, Flowers Remain Absent
Multiple Ravens Players Return to Practice After Injuries
The Baltimore Ravens received some good news on the injury front this week, as two starters returned to practice. Running back Gus Edwards and cornerback Marlon Humphrey both practiced on Wednesday, marking a significant step in their recovery from injuries.
Edwards has been sidelined since suffering a torn ACL in September, while Humphrey has been out with a calf injury since Week 12.
Humphrey and Flowers Remain Out
However, the Ravens also received some disappointing news, as two other key players remain out with injuries. Safety Marcus Williams and defensive end Calais Campbell both missed practice on Wednesday with knee injuries.
Williams has been dealing with a knee injury since Week 14, while Campbell has been battling a knee injury since Week 12.
Edwards and Humphrey Expected to Play
The Ravens are hopeful that Edwards and Humphrey will be able to play in Week 17 against the Cincinnati Bengals. Edwards has been a key part of the Ravens' running game this season, rushing for 539 yards and six touchdowns in 10 games.
Humphrey is one of the Ravens' best cornerbacks, and his return would be a major boost to the team's defense.
Injury Status of Other Ravens Players
In addition to the aforementioned players, several other Ravens are also dealing with injuries.
- Wide receiver Rashod Bateman (foot) is questionable for Week 17.
- Tight end Mark Andrews (knee) is questionable for Week 17.
- Offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley (ankle) is out indefinitely.
- Defensive end Justin Houston (knee) is out indefinitely.
The Ravens will release their final injury report for Week 17 on Friday.
