Two of the nation’s top swimming and diving programs will square off this weekend in a highly anticipated matchup.
The University of Pittsburgh Panthers will host the Penn State Nittany Lions on Saturday, January 21st at the Trees Pool in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
Both teams enter the meet with impressive records and national rankings. The Panthers are ranked 10th in the latest College Swimming Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll, while the Nittany Lions are ranked 12th.
The meet is expected to be a close one, with both teams boasting talented swimmers and divers.
The Panthers are led by senior swimmer Michael Andrew, a two-time Olympic medalist and one of the most decorated swimmers in NCAA history.
Andrew is a versatile swimmer who can compete in a variety of events, including the 50-yard freestyle, 100-yard butterfly, and 200-yard individual medley.
