According to the head of the press service of the regional GU EMERCOM, the main reasons for the deaths were alcohol abuse, ignorance of safety rules on the water, as well as neglect of parents.
To prevent accidents, police officers conduct preventive raids. They talk to fishermen, explain the rules of safe behavior on water bodies, and distribute leaflets with safety instructions.
The Ministry of Emergency Situations urges citizens to be careful when staying near water bodies, especially during the spring flood period. Parents should closely monitor their children and explain to them the rules of safe behavior on the water.
If you see a person in distress on the water, do not try to save them yourself. Call the emergency services immediately.
