Michigan football vs. Michigan State: Will Johnson, Jack Tuttle out due to injuries
Will Johnson
Michigan football cornerback Will Johnson will miss Saturday's game against Michigan State due to an ankle injury, head coach Jim Harbaugh said Monday.
Johnson, a sophomore, has started all nine games for the Wolverines this season and has recorded 23 tackles, two interceptions and five pass breakups.
With Johnson out, Harbaugh said freshman Ja'Den McBurrows will start at cornerback against the Spartans.
Jack Tuttle
Harbaugh also said that backup quarterback Jack Tuttle will miss the game against Michigan State due to a concussion.
Tuttle, a redshirt junior, has appeared in two games this season and has completed 6 of 10 passes for 44 yards.
With Tuttle out, Harbaugh said sophomore Cade McNamara will serve as the backup quarterback to J.J. McCarthy.
