Lakers News: JJ Redick Rips LeBron James And Lakers; Charles Barkley Says James Is Not Top 5
Redick: Lakers 'Not Even Fun To Watch'
Former NBA player JJ Redick did not hold back in his criticism of the Los Angeles Lakers on a recent episode of his podcast, "The Old Man and the Three." Redick, who played for the Lakers during the 2019-20 season, said that the team is "not even fun to watch" and that they are "just not good."
Redick also took aim at Lakers superstar LeBron James, saying that he is "not even a top-five player in the league right now." Redick's comments come after the Lakers have struggled to a 2-9 record to start the season.
Barkley: James Not Top 5
Redick is not the only one who has been critical of James and the Lakers. NBA Hall of Famer Charles Barkley said on a recent episode of "Inside the NBA" that James is "not even a top-five player in the league right now."
Barkley's comments came after James had a poor performance in a loss to the New Orleans Pelicans. James finished the game with just 21 points on 8-of-21 shooting from the field.
Lakers Struggles Continue
The Lakers have struggled to start the season, and there are no easy answers. The team is dealing with injuries to several key players, and they have not been able to find a consistent rhythm on either end of the court.
The Lakers will look to turn things around when they host the Sacramento Kings on Monday night. However, they will need to play much better if they want to avoid falling to 2-10 on the season.
