Defeat Extends Winless Streak to Five Matches

Omsk, Russia - Irtysh Omsk's struggles continued on Saturday as they fell 2-0 to visiting Krasnodar-2 in a Russian Football National League match at the Stadion im. V. V. Oreshkina.

The loss leaves Irtysh winless in their last five matches, with their last victory coming on August 21 against Volgar Astrakhan.

Krasnodar-2 took the lead in the 22nd minute through a strike from Yaroslav Gladyshev, before Eduard Spertsyan doubled the advantage just four minutes later.

Irtysh had chances to get back into the match, but they were unable to convert their opportunities, with Krasnodar-2 goalkeeper Matvey Safonov making a number of impressive saves to keep a clean sheet.

The result leaves Irtysh in 16th place in the 20-team league, just two points above the relegation zone.

Irtysh will be hoping to end their winless streak when they travel to face Tom Tomsk next Saturday.
