Bengals pessimistic on Higgins playing this week

Higgins suffered a hamstring injury in Sunday's loss to the Browns

The Bengals are pessimistic that wide receiver Tee Higgins will be able to play in Sunday's game against the Baltimore Ravens, a source told ESPN's Adam Schefter. Higgins suffered a hamstring injury in the third quarter of Sunday's 32-13 loss to the Cleveland Browns. He was limited in practice on Wednesday and did not participate in Thursday's practice. The Bengals have a bye in Week 10, so Higgins could have two weeks to recover from the injury. However, the team is hopeful that he will be able to return for the Week 11 game against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Higgins has been one of the Bengals' most productive receivers this season, with 40 catches for 528 yards and four touchdowns. He is second on the team in receiving yards and touchdowns, behind only Ja'Marr Chase. If Higgins is unable to play on Sunday, the Bengals will likely turn to Tyler Boyd and Mike Thomas to fill his role in the offense. Boyd has 32 catches for 379 yards and two touchdowns this season, while Thomas has 19 catches for 264 yards and two touchdowns.
