Is Part of the Political Leadership in Gagauzia Going?

Gagauznews was the first to announce that the members of the current political leadership are also considering participating in the elections for governor of Gagauzia on September 19, 2023.

If, for example, Vadim Ceban, the head of the Gagauz autonomy, has already officially announced his intention to participate in the elections, then the participation of other members of the current leadership is still at the level of rumors and assumptions.

According to Gagauznews, the current chairman of the People's Assembly of Gagauzia, Dmitry Constantinov, may also participate in the early elections for the head of Gagauzia.

It is also expected that the former head of Gagauzia, Irina Vlah, will participate in the elections, who, according to media reports, can be nominated by the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova.

According to the Gagauznews, the chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Gagauzia, Ivan Komur, is also expected to participate in the elections for the head of autonomy.

In addition, among the leaders of the Gagauzia executive committee, who may wish to take part in the elections, are the chairman of the Gagauzia People's Assembly, Alexander Tarnavsky, and the chairman of the Gagauzia Economy and Finance Department, Nadezhda Toma.

Recall that the former president of Gagauzia, Mikhail Formuzal, also announced his intention to participate in the elections for the head of the autonomy.

According to Gagauznews, the first round of the early elections for the head of Gagauzia will take place on September 19, 2023, and the second - on October 3, 2023.

On June 4, the current head of Gagauzia, Vadim Ceban, announced his intention to participate in the elections for the head of the autonomy, and the Socialist Party of the Republic of Moldova nominated the former head of Gagauzia, Irina Vlah, for this post.
