FSU without Starting Defensive End – Kam Davis, Darius Washington a Game-time Decision

Florida State Seminoles will be without starting defensive end Kamari “Kam” Davis for Saturday’s game against the Louisville Cardinals.

According to FSU head coach Mike Norvell, Davis injured his ankle late in last week’s loss to the Wake Forest Demon Deacons and will not be able to play against Louisville.

The loss of Davis is a big blow to the Seminoles’ defense. Davis is one of the team’s best pass rushers, and his absence will likely be felt.

In addition to Davis’ absence, starting safety Darius Washington is also a game-time decision for Saturday’s game.

Washington suffered a shoulder injury against Wake Forest and did not practice on Tuesday. Norvell said that Washington is “day-to-day” now that the team has entered the latter half of the week’s practice schedule.

If Washington is unable to play, it will be a big loss for the Seminoles’ secondary. Washington is one of the team’s most experienced defensive backs, and his absence would leave a big hole in the lineup.

The Seminoles will need to find a way to replace the production of Davis and Washington if they want to beat the Cardinals on Saturday.
