Annastacia Palaszczuk calls on candidates to 'make every single day count'

Former Queensland premier Annastacia Palaszczuk has urged candidates in the upcoming state election to "make every single day count"

Speaking at the launch of Labor's election campaign, Palaszczuk said the next four years would be "critical" for Queensland's future.

"We have a real opportunity to build a better future for our state, but we need to make every single day count," she said.

Palaszczuk highlighted a number of key issues that she said would be Labor's priorities if re-elected, including

"These are the issues that matter most to Queenslanders, and they are the issues that we will be focused on delivering on over the next four years," Palaszczuk said.

The former premier also took aim at the Liberal National Party (LNP), saying they had "failed to deliver" on their promises.

"The LNP has had eight years to fix the problems that they created, but they have failed to deliver," she said.

"They have failed to create jobs, they have failed to improve our schools and hospitals, and they have failed to protect our environment.

"It's time for a change," Palaszczuk said.

"Labor has a plan to build a better future for Queensland, and we need your support to make it happen.

"Make every single day count," she said.
