Acting Governor of the Sverdlovsk Region Yevgeny Kuyvashev congratulated the residents of the Sverdlovsk Region on the Day of Automobile and Urban Passenger Transport Workers, which is celebrated in Russia on October 29.

The head of the Middle Urals noted the special significance of the work of transport workers in the life of the region. Every day they transport millions of passengers, ensuring comfortable conditions for their movement.

In addition, drivers, conductors, repair workers and other employees of the industry make a significant contribution to the development of the economy and social sphere of the region. Thanks to their work, enterprises receive raw materials and manufactured products on time, residents of remote settlements get to medical and educational institutions, and public transport remains one of the most affordable ways to travel.

Yevgeny Kuyvashev also stressed that today special attention is paid to the comprehensive modernization of public transport in the Sverdlovsk region. New comfortable buses and trams are purchased, new routes are opened, and the infrastructure is being improved.
