Dominick Barlow Out Friday
Barlow fractured his thumb in Thursday’s game against the White Sox.
The injury is not expected to be long-term.
The Angels placed infielder Dominick Barlow on the 10-day injured list Friday with a fractured right thumb. Barlow fractured the thumb sliding head-first into second base in the ninth inning of Thursday’s 4-3 loss to the Chicago White Sox.
Barlow is hitting .286 with a .348 on-base percentage and an .801 OPS this season.
The Angels recalled infielder Jack Mayfield from Triple-A Salt Lake to take Barlow's place on the roster.
Mayfield was hitting .313 with a .386 on-base percentage and an .844 OPS in 27 games with Salt Lake this season.
Barlow is expected to miss 4-6 weeks.
