Carolina Panthers Add 3rd Quarterback to Game Roster vs. Broncos

Panthers' QB Darnold Expected to Remain Starter vs. Broncos

The Carolina Panthers have added a third quarterback to their game roster ahead of their matchup against the Denver Broncos on Sunday.

Former XFL star P.J. Walker will join Sam Darnold and Jacob Eason as the only quarterbacks on the active roster for the Panthers.

Darnold is expected to remain the starter for the Panthers against the Broncos despite battling an ankle injury.

Walker Provides Depth for Panthers

Walker, who played in the XFL for the Houston Roughnecks, provides depth for the Panthers in case of an injury to Darnold or Eason.

The 28-year-old Walker has played in 10 career XFL games, completing 62.5% of his passes for 1,338 yards with 13 touchdowns and four interceptions.

He also rushed for 150 yards and three touchdowns in the XFL.

Panthers Aim to Rebound vs. Broncos

The Panthers (1-2) are looking to rebound from a 26-16 loss to the New Orleans Saints in Week 3.

The Broncos (2-1) are coming off a 23-7 win over the New York Jets.

The Panthers and Broncos will face off at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET.
