“Atlético” May Lose Griezmann
Rumors continue to circulate regarding the possible departure of French forward Antoine Griezmann from Spanish club Atlético Madrid.
According to various sources, including ESPN and The Guardian, Griezmann has informed the club of his desire to leave this summer. The 28-year-old has been linked with a move to several top European clubs, including Barcelona, Manchester United, and Paris Saint-Germain.
Griezmann has been a key player for Atlético since joining the club from Real Sociedad in 2014.
He has scored over 120 goals for the club and has helped them win the Europa League, UEFA Super Cup, and Spanish Super Cup. However, he has also been frustrated by Atlético’s failure to win the Champions League or La Liga title.
Atlético is reportedly reluctant to lose Griezmann, who is under contract until 2023. However, they may be willing to sell him if they receive a suitable offer. Barcelona is said to be the frontrunner to sign Griezmann, but Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain are also interested.
If Griezmann does leave Atlético, it will be a major blow to the club. He is one of their most important players and his departure would leave a big hole in their squad. However, it could also be a good opportunity for Atlético to rebuild and challenge for major trophies.
