Serie A giants Atalanta continued their impressive start to the season with a resounding 6-0 victory over Hellas Verona on Sunday.

The visitors dominated the first half, taking an early lead through Ademola Lookman's close-range finish.

Atalanta doubled their advantage just before the break courtesy of a well-taken strike from Teun Koopmeiners.

The second half was one-way traffic as Atalanta ran riot.

Rasmus Højlund made it 3-0 with a composed finish, before Lookman added his second of the game with a clinical strike.

Koopmeiners grabbed his second of the match with a well-placed free-kick, completing the rout.

Atalanta's victory extends their unbeaten run to four games and moves them up to fourth in the Serie A table.

The Bergamo-based club has impressed with their attacking prowess, scoring 14 goals in their last four matches.

For Verona, the defeat marks their third consecutive loss.

The newly-promoted side has struggled defensively, conceding 12 goals in their last three games.
