Football Season is Back!
Irvine Hosts De La Salle in League Opener
The Troy Trojans football team will host the De La Salle Spartans in their league opener on Friday, August 25. The game will be played at Irvine Stadium and will begin at 7:00 pm.
Trojans Look to Start Season Strong
The Trojans are coming off a 10-2 season in which they won the Pacific Coast League championship. They return several key players from last year's team, including quarterback Aidan Chiles, running back Jayden McGowan, and linebacker Jeremiah Alexander.
The Trojans are led by head coach Jason Allen, who is entering his fifth season at the helm. Allen has a record of 35-12 at Troy and has led the Trojans to two league championships.
Spartans Hope to Bounce Back
The Spartans are coming off a 5-6 season in which they finished third in the East Bay Athletic League. They lost several key players from last year's team, including quarterback Dorian Hale and running back Charles Greer.
The Spartans are led by head coach Justin Alumbaugh, who is entering his third season at the helm. Alumbaugh has a record of 10-9 at De La Salle.
